Making Your Change Initiatives 'Sticky'

New change initiatives become inert unless you can get the whole of an organization to act on its elements.  The best resource we have come across thus far that provides a step-by-step methodology for not only getting ideas across, but getting people to act on them, is the book Made to Stick by the brothers Chip & Dan Heath.

This presentation summarizes the key points from the book, but the best way to learn is by doing.

Stifling Innovation: A How-To Checklist

I was surfing the web looking for something entirely different, but bumped into this video on 14 ways to ‘stifle innovation’ which I really enjoyed. It’s by Youngme Moon, the Donald K. David Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School. There are LOADS of opinions out there on how to foster innovation, I liked this because he posed the opposite question, “How do you stifle it?”
